TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Med/Surg RN in Salt Lake City, Utah, 84102 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Float Pool Job Specialty:
MedSurg/Telemetry Job Duration: 11 weeks Shift: 12-hour night
shifts, 3x12 hr per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum one-year preferred License: State RN license or
RN license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure
Compact Certifications: - American Heart Association Basic Life
Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - NIH
Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: Patient care
experience, EPIC proficiency Job Description: - Assume
responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating,
and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the
patient/family to identify and meet physical, emotional, and
spiritual needs. - Promote the optimal health, well-being, and
safety of patients through the nursing process and in accordance
with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse
Practice Act. - Demonstrate personal accountability for
relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. -
Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual
needs through observation, interviews, review of medical records,
and clinical data. - Evaluate patients' response and intervene to
ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Develop and implement patient
care plans and observe outcomes in collaboration with the
interdisciplinary team. - Demonstrate competency in various
therapeutic/diagnostic interventions, including IVs, incision/wound
care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen
collections. - Promote, advocate for, and collaborate to protect
the health, safety, and rights of each patient. - Provide
patient/family education by assessing their learning readiness,
needs, and ability; evaluate the effectiveness of teaching. -
Recognize the patient or designee as a full partner in providing
compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the
patient's preferences, values, and needs. - Provide
relationship-based care in which the nurse strives to understand
what is most important to the individual and actively engage them
in all aspects of care, respecting cultural differences and the
diversity of human experience. - Delegate appropriately to non-RN
personnel following State Board of Nursing and hospital policy. -
Effectively use time, personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide
high-quality, cost-effective patient care. - Serve as a
professional role model demonstrating ethical/legal/professional
nursing processes and competencies. - Manage resources and patient
flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient
and unit needs. - Use standards of care, hospital
policies/procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice. -
Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams,
fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared
decision-making to achieve quality patient care. - Precept/mentor
new staff or nursing students as needed. - Seek learning
opportunities and continuing education to maintain skills and
competence in clinical practice or role performance. - Maintain
professional records providing evidence of competency and lifelong
learning. - Evaluate one's integrity and nursing practice about
